Does "bag" rhyme with "vague"?

Apparently, I have a "good voice" for TV and radio. I just took this quiz that I saw over at Leah's place. What a hoot! (If you take the quiz, my result said I have a "Midland" accent.) I'm going to have my husband take this quiz--he's from Michigan and says "baggle" for bagel, and "vag" for vague. So for him, yes, "bag" rhymes with "vague"! =) How about you?

Isn't that crazy! I thought the test was hilarious! But it pegged me pretty well and nailed me down by Wisconsin and Chicago, which is pretty close! =)

Baggle? Now that is funny. I am wondering if Michigan bagels are as bad as North Carolina bagels.

It is right. I have the "Inland North" accent, and it says when I step away from the Great Lakes, people recognize my accent as from Wisconsin or Illinois. Finally, something that validated my "baggle" accent after all these years of being ridiculed.

Funny quiz! The quiz says i am from Ohio or Indiana with a "Midland" accent. Says I have a good voice for Radio or TV. Hmmmmmmm. Maybe I can be a radio annoucer when I grow up. OK, I have a secret wish of being a voice for one of the characters on Adventures in Odessey;)

Mine said I was from The West! And, just for the record, no - bag does not sound like vague from my tongue!

This was fun! Mine said I was from the West and husbands said he is from the Northeast, which is good... because it's true! hahahaha

As the sister of your husband, I must come to his defense! I, too, took the quiz and am classified as coming from the Inland North! We can unite and enjoy our "baggle" together! And I truly don't know how vague and bag couldn't rhythm! Isn't that funny?!!

Oh my, I remember lots of laughs over Eric's "baggle"...I also remember him calling an avacodo "acovaso" a couple of times. Too funny!

Acevedo, Lisa, not acovaso. And that error was simply getting the name of the somewhat gross-looking vegetable/fruit consistently mixed up with a baseball pitcher's last name.
