A few random things from our weekend:

On Friday night, we were sitting in the living room when we suddenly heard a huge "boom" and saw a bright explosion. A tree outside of our house was struck by lightning! We are so thankful no one was hurt, but you can see that the tree was split in half and will be taken out in a couple days.

Thanks to my mom and sister for sending me this hospitable sign for our entryway:

Fun times at the park!

Oh the poor tree, it will be sad to see it gone :( It's so close to the house so I'm glad to no one got hurt! I love the sign too :) Wow, the weekend must have gone really smooth if E had time to escape campus for good times at the park!

I am glad the lightening only hit the tree. Very scary!

Love the sign and what a cute baby you have. Looks like he was having a delightful time at the park.

I am SO afraid of lightning, especially because of our altitude. When it started raining on our camping trip this weekend, I was praying like crazy that it would not lightning. And thankfully, it was just rain.

I love the sign your mom and sister gave you. Any idea where I can find one for my house?
