Aaaw, cute! I used to have a farm just like that when I was little! Brings back memories. I was a country girl through and through...still am at heart, even though I live in the city now.
Great picture! I notice your hearth is rough-edged...I've been wondering how people with hearths like that protect their babies from injury. Even a straight brick hearth could do some damage to a soft little person.
Cute! Everytime I read Are You My Mother to JR, I think of Nathan ever since you told me he loves the picture of the tractor in the story. You know what, JR has the same shoes that Nathan is wearing in the pic.
How cute! I love his little shoes too! What a great word to have as one of his first. Love Bug isn't saying much right now, but it's part of trilingual living. She only spends about 50% of her day in English. Oh well... hopefully soon!
Carrie - is that your barn? I think I had the same one! Does it moo when you open the door? My mother grew up on a farm in Indiana, & was determined that my brother & I would relate to that experience, so that barn & silo set became one of our favorite toys. What a precious picture!
Love the photo! :) He looks so cute in a flannel shirt -- and those cheeks! Your cheeks used to be rosy like that when you were about N's age. Love to all, Mom
Very cute. I love the vinage Little People barn. My mom saved mine too. She loves telling the story of asking me when I was about two years old, "Meredith, what says oink oink (a pig), what says bow wow (a dog) what says moo (the barn door)" because my old Fisher-Price barn door mimicked a cow sound when opened. Funny.
Got your fun card today! Thanks for the thanks! :)
Since several of you have commented on it, the barn and animals were my husband's as a kid, circa mid-70s. That is so fun that some of you had the same set!
Oh my, I think I used to have one of these farms! I wish I could find one for my little boy. Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I've been a little pre-occupied with life lately but I've still been reading your blog; wouldn't miss it! Have a blessed Easter.

Nothing cuter than a little country boy!
My friend Cindy's baby's first word was boat...her daddy was practicing his kayak skills. That's a Colorado baby!
Your boy is so cute.
Love the picture - we miss you, Nathan!

We have that same barn and tractor. It was mine when I was little and my kids love it too.
Cute picture!
GREAT picture! Gotta love Iowa!

We love all things that are tractor related in our house!! We have honorary grandparents that are farmers also...so that helps enormously!
Oops...I meant to also say...he looks SO CUTE!!
