And the verdict is . . .

Thanks to everyone who voted yesterday! At my last check, 53 votes were cast, with "girl" leading 33-20 over "boy." I enjoyed seeing your guesses and appreciated your comments as well. Here are a couple pictures from yesterday: a "half-way there" profile pic, and one of Eric and me sharing the results!

We rejoice in God's provision for our family. Thank you again for humoring me with your guesses--the popular vote was the right one! Now go out and vote on some really important issues!

*Before we went in for Nathan's ultrasound two years ago, I made a reversible sign so we'd be prepared to take a picture announcing our news right away. Now we've gotten to use both sides!
*Also, I switched my blog feeder setting to "short" just for today, so it would give a little more suspense and anticipation to our announcement! =)

Congratulations! My first was a girl and so I thought I ONLY wanted girls for subsequent children. Then I had my son and was delighted after he was born.

Not everyone has the blessing to have at least one boy and one girl - I wouldn't want it any other way.

It's so fun to enjoy "girl" things with my dd and to also enjoy "boy" things with my ds.

Awwwww shux! No twins, huh?? Congrats on baby girl....from my experience, girls are easier than boys, until they hit the age of about 8 (which is where my oldest is now, and she's a girl). But, hey, enjoy the first 8 years.....I think it will be a walk in the park for ya! :)

Congratulations! I remember the first night of RA training my junior year when Eric announced (via his prayer before supper) that you would be having a boy... I guess a blog post will have to do for this one! I'm so happy for you both!

Carrie - you look great! Fun to see a picture of you along the way! Thanks for sharing. We are thrilled with the news of a coming girl. Looks like Zachary and Nathan are going to need to become best buddy cousins though as the only boy representatives!

We are SO excited for you! And we're so excited for our little girls to meet each other and grow up with someone so close in age!

It seems only appropriate for you to have a girl - with everything else so similar between us!

Congrats again! And you're looking great! :)

I didn't vote yesterday, and I guess it's a good thing because I was WRONG! Congratulations on your girl! Nothing against boys, but girls are so much more fun to shop for!

Congrats to you! So exciting. Have you thought about names? Debating any? If you're having trouble, you should do a baby name poll. That would be fun too. :)

I do not comment as often as I used to, but just had to today! Congratulations on a baby girl. Your belly is adorable. Even tho I haven't commented, I do still read Monica's blog and yours....and continue to pray for your Dad's health! Have a Blessed Christmas, In HIs Grip Always, Lynnebee
